Perfect skin? Yeah right! IMPOSSIBLE! Think again….
I wish I could say I was one of those people that has never had a pimple in their life but unfortunately …I’m not. I thought acne stopped after the teenage years but here I am at 23 still struggling with break outs. My skin isn’t perfect by any means but I’ve found ways to help prevent acne! Hope this helps and feel free to leave any tips or tricks that I didn’t mention in the comments below!
1. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
This was actually recommended to me by my dermatologist which was amazing because it’s only $6 and can be found at any drug store! I cleanse my face with this in the morning and at night. Cetaphil is great because it doesn’t have any added perfumes that might make you break out. It also doesn’t contain any ingredients that will dry you out. It’s super gentle and great for the skin.
2. Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion
The Cetaphil moisturizing lotion was also recommended by my dermatologist. It’s great to hydrate your skin after cleansing and doesn’t leave the skin greasy or oily. It is hypoallergenic and also fragrance free!
3. Clinique Acne Solutions Foundation
After cleansing and moisturizing I apply my Clinique Acne Solutions foundation. I cannot say enough good things about this product! I love to try new foundations but always end up breaking out. There is no other foundation I would recommend if you have sensitive skin or are prone to acne.
I am not the biggest fan of water. It’s always so hard for me to even finish a whole water bottle in a day but when I started drinking 64oz every day it did wonders for my skin! Water helps to flush toxins out of your body and is great for rejuvenating your skin. Try to drink 64oz every day and I promise you will see a difference not only in your skin but also in your energy level!
5. Eat Healthy
I cut out dairy, eggs, and processed sugars. When I did this I saw a huge difference in my skin. If I want to sweeten food or a smoothie I will usually use a natural sweetener (banana, honey, or agave nectar). This also helped my energy levels and just made me feel better overall!
Hope these tips helped! Let me know your thoughts! Xo

Justin Timberlake just dropped a sexy futuristic single called Filthy and the feelings are mixed. I am a huge JT fan don’t get me wrong. I think this might be one of those songs that will take a little time to grow on me. I will say by the end of the music video I did find myself wanting to dance. Definitely a slightly different vibe than I had anticipated. Since the album is titled Man of the Woods and Timberlake grew up in Tennessee the rumor was that the single was going to be a bit more folky. The song definitely embodies techno elements and is far from folk.
The music video directed by Mark Romanek takes place at a Pan-Asian Deep Learning Conference in the year 2028. Romanek also directed Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling”, Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off”, Jay-Z’z “99 Problems”, and music videos for many other A listers including Queen B. This was definitely a different visual take on the single that incorporated a futuristic feel. Timberlake is dressed similarly to that of Steve Jobs and he appears to be at a tech conference where he is presenting his new technology to a crowd of individuals. The robot syncs with his movement as he dances and sings throughout the video. There is a lot of dance influence including the classic Michael Jackson moonwalk. As a dancer I very much enjoyed this aspect of the video.
I didn’t hate the video or the song I just think it will take a little time to grow on me just like Taylor Swift’s album Reputation. What do you think of the new Timberlake single? Comment down below 🙂

With each new year comes new goals. We all start out with a rejuvenated motivation. It’s like hitting the reset button for a moment. As the weeks pass we all tend to fall back into our old habits. Here are some ways to keep yourself motivated each and every day.
1. Goal Board
Goal boards are the most amazing way to set goals and check them off once you accomplish them. Make sure you include long term and short term goals. These boards are very easy to make yourself and are fun to DIY!
2. Give Yourself Rewards
When you achieve your goals don’t forget to reward yourself! Accomplishing a goal is a big deal. You deserve to be rewarded. Treat yourself to a nice dinner, massage, or a day at the beach!
3. Goal Buddy
Set goals with a friend so you can motivate each other. You can stay on top of each other whenever you feel like giving up or slacking off. Encourage one another to be the best you can be!
Once you incorporate a goal into a routine it can become easier to accomplish. When you wake up early and go to the gym every day it becomes habit. This will help you long term even if it’s challenging at first!
Find someone you look up too. Listen to their story and how they achieved the things you hope to achieve. Even if you don’t know them personally they can still inspire you to keep striving for greatness!
It’s 2018!! Happy New Year! Here is where we all sip champagne, kiss a loved one, and throw around confetti like it’s our birthday.
Every year we make resolutions to change certain habits or to maintain others. Each new day is a chance to improve upon ones life and be the person you wish to be. Take new chances, make mistakes, and try again. We all feel that when a new year arrives that is when our goals to become better will take place. Each day, hour, and minute could be the opportunity for someone to put into effect what they have always aspired to do. Lets ring in the new year with amazing goals and aspirations but not forget that with each and every day we get the chance to hit the restart button and make a change.
The term body goals is so funny to me. What even is body goals? Is it a term only reserved for 5’11 Victoria’s Secret models or is it a term used to describe Olympic Athletes? Both? So why don’t you classify your body as #goals?
I think it’s safe for me to assume that each and every one of us have been self conscious about something at one point in our lives. It’s human nature not to be confident 100% of the time. So, why do we pick out every little flaw instead of picking out the beautiful things that make us who we are? Simple…we compare ourselves to others too much. We are always trying to be that guy/girl over there. Little did you know, there is someone pointing at you saying I want to look like him/her. Remember nobody is perfect!
The best thing I ever did was get rid of my scale. I was focusing so much on a number that it didn’t matter how I looked. Remember muscle weighs more than fat. I probably weigh more than I used too but I’m happier in my own skin and that’s all that matters. Everyone is genetically different and thats what makes people so beautiful. Life wouldn’t be as fun if everyone looked the same. Embrace your curves or your height or whatever makes you different from the person sitting next to you. I could list off 20 things I’m insecure about but dwelling on them isn’t going to do anything. Give yourself goals, write them down, and achieve them. Get outside and exercise with a friend if you don’t enjoy going to the gym alone. Eat healthy but remember you deserve a cheat every now and then. Encourage the people in your life to do the same.
We are all our own worst critic and the way you see yourself isn’t usually how the rest of the world sees you. I know this because I’m also a perfectionist. I have high expectations for myself in every avenue of life and will work my hardest to achieve them. Go easy on yourself from time to time. You deserve a rest day and vacation. Don’t let little things people say hinder you from achieving something great. You are beautiful and handsome! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
I don’t know about you but I get so much inspiration from accounts I follow on Instagram and I’m always looking for new ones. I thought I would share with you my favorite accounts to follow and why. Enjoy! Xo
